2010 Charleston Bocce Finals was nothing short of a battle between two bad asses! It was a cool evening on August 31st, the tide was low and the beach was long. It was the perfect setting for this sunset dual between these two juggernauts. There’s no coincidence that 107mm Sag and Balls on the Edge arrived at this fate filled day to battle it out for ultimate beach supremacy. This was the real deal; these baller’s were no barney’s as both teams had a great showing during the regular season.107mm Sag made a strong run at the end of the season to finish up in third place overall. While Balls on the Edge battled it out against Realistic Casting in the last match of the season to dethrone the reining 1st place seed secure their first place title going into the tournament. The stage was set and the battle for top baller brewed. After the first two frames playing in the soft sand Balls on the Edge had landed the first strike, catching 107mm Sag off guard and creating a 5-0 lead. 107mm quickly countered with some crafty ball skills and after 3 frames the Sag had cut into the lead with a score of 5-1. Next the Sag made a strategic move and took the game down to the hard sand were their efforts were rewarded with a score. However, Balls on the Edge perhaps slightly dazed by the recent scores was anything but out. They battled back with the furor of a Cat 4 bearing down on the east coast to put the Sag safely in second place with a final score of 7-2. Balls on the Edge had secured the Championship and were crowned the undisputed Champions of the Charleston Bocce Leagues inaugural season!
